The Consortium of the Erasmus+ project PADIGE – Participatory Design of Initiatives on Gender Equality (project number: 2020-3-FR02-KA205-018465)- finally launched the Online platform for Participatory Design of European Citizens Initiative.
Specifically, the partnership is composed of 6 partners from 5 different European countries, namely France, Greece, Latvia, Italy and Spain. Each one of them has worked on the development of the platform due to their involvement in Youth related issues and activities and their special commitment to promote innovation, improvement of social conditions and youth participation.
Therefore, the platform is based on a wiki tool that allows the creation of an ECI proposal (European Citizens’ Initiative) by youths by using participatory design methodology. It enables participants to collaborate on documents, share information and create online proposals.
Users from all European countries will be able to sign up for the platform and use it to connect with their peers. In addition, they will be able to create country- or topic-specific groups and engage in discussion within forums.
This tool will be very useful for exchanging ideas on the ECI proposal that the partners will develop on the issue of gender equality, but users will also be able to decide to work on proposals related to different themes and this will improve the sustainability of the project.
